Premier David Makhura's office on fire

Spokesperson to Premier David Makhura, Phumla Sekhonyane, has confirmed that a portion of the premier offices is on fire and that everyone has been evacuated out of the building.

She says there are no injuries reported as yet and that the fire department as well as the police are on site.

It is not yet clear what caused the fire, but the matter will be investigated, says Sekhonyane.
