Cameron Wilson found guilty of murdering Valhalla Park teen Lekita Moore

The Western Cape High Court on Friday delivered a verdict in the trial of accused, 22-year-old Cameron Wilson.

Wilson has been found guilty of killing five people, including 18-year-old Lekita Moore in Valhalla Park.

EWN reporter Shamiela Fisher says for the past four months that Wilson has been on trial there has not been much interest, but for the three days that the verdict was being delivered the gallery was packed.

Fort the past three days we would see families of the victims coming together to listen to the part pertaining to their loved ones.

It was very emotional. We could hear each families crying together having to relive all these charges against him.

Fisher says Wilson's family did not come to court on Friday but were present on Thursday. She says they showed no emotions whatsoever throughout the trial.

However, Wilson, on the other hand, had to be reprimanded by Judge Chantel Fortuin on numerous occasion for laughing while the witnesses were speaking.

Fisher says even when the judgment was passed he "just smiled."

We know from the state side they will be sending him for psychiatric evaluation and sentencing proceedings will start in August.

Wilson was arrested in September last year after Moore's body was found with 98 stab wounds, her breasts and vagina slashed.

He was also found guilty of the attempted murders of Nicole McEwan and Roseline Lackay. They were both attacked on the same night as Moore.
