'It's unacceptable for men to represent us', says ANCWL member

Several callers have condemned the inclusion of men in the ANC Women's League (ANCWL) delegation at the party's national policy conference.

Listeners called in to lament the recruiting of men and ANCWL president Bathabile Dlamini's alleged remarks that women are "too emotional".

ANCWL member Pastor Nonqaba Mosunkutu says the league is regressing and adds that members were not consulted about the delegation selected to represent them.

It's a very sad day for SA women.

I'm a member of the ANCWL in good standing. It's unacceptable for men to represent us when other women are there.

Pastor Nonqaba Mosunkutu, ANCWL member

We were not consulted regarding the whole thing. Why were these men included? It's unacceptable.
