The South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) will appear in the High Court in Johannesburg on Thursday morning to argue for an urgent interdict against Andile Mngxitama and the Black First Land First movement.
This follows the intimidation of journalists and editors over their reporting on alleged state capture.
The organisation has appealed to the media fraternity to wear black armbands or come dressed in black in solidarity.
I do appeal as well, that if you have time, please be there. Not just journalists only, civil society, of you feel strongly about this issue and you want to be there to support the media fraternity please be at the South Gauteng High Court.— Xolani Gwala, 702 Breakfast Show anchor
