Mission to restore and rebuild Knysna kicks off

Executive Mayor of Knysna, Eleanore Bouw-Spies, says the rebuilding of the town has started following fires that ravaged the area earlier in June.

She says a disaster relief fund has been set up to assist with the rebuild.

According to Bouw-Spies, although the fire has left destruction in its wake, there are more opportunities that are emerging and they are happy to explore those opportunities.

She says the rebuilding of Knysna is not just physical but emotional as well.
