Sunday night's burglary of the National Director of Public Prosecution's offices in Pretoria has been confirmed by the NPA.
EWN's Barry Bateman says anyone who has been following the string of break-ins at law enforcement agencies must smell a rat.

These are not just normal offices and normal computers, he adds. It is a law enforcement agency and would likely contain information of a highly sensitive nature.

He says there are only two entrances well guarded by security. But the intruders managed to get to the second floor.
What were they after and what was contained on the laptops that were stolen, asks Bateman?
There has been no official statement by Saps, he adds.
