Why are executives paid so much?

Ever wondered if what you're earning is fair when compared to people in executive positions in your company?

Chair of 21st Century Pay solutions, Dr Mark Bussin, looks at the remunerations set up for people in top positions and the criteria used.

This discussion stems from a recent piece publish by the BBC of its highest-paid stars, with all those earning £150,000 or more included in the list.

At the moment this is very topical and the focus is on executives remuneration.

In setting it, it is the function and the size of the organisation in terms of turn over, profit, number of employees , market capitalisation, number of assets and bench marking it with organisation of similar size and complexity.
