Tbo Touch's now infamous tweet about a homeless man has been criticised on all fronts.
Earlier this week the media personality and business man tweeted that the only difference between him and a man begging on the street is their mental disposition.
The only difference between the guy I just drove pass begging in streets and myself is our mental disposition. Let's change how we THINK🙏🏾— Tbo Touch (@iamtbotouch) July 18, 2017
He was roasted on Twitter for his comments, but still seems unapologetic. Eusebius McKaiser said that many people tagged him to comment on Touch's comments. He was unsure whether to talk about the tweet, because he is tired of how unemphatic people are.
Touch appeared on Kaya FM to explain the tweet. Instead of being embarrassed or apologetic about it, he reiterated his philosophy on the power of positive thinking. This was continued in his subsequent tweets.
He just continued with incredible arrogance and showing no understanding of the structural realities of poverty. You can't just pull yourself up by the bootstraps if you don't have them.— Eusebius McKaiser, CapeTalk/702 host
Touch has worked hard, but his tweet fails to acknowledge or appreciate the role that luck would have played in his success, adds McKaiser.
