The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has announced that it will be taking action against its Member of Parliament Makhosi Khoza. They say she is no longer the comrade they sent to Parliament and describe her as a "loose cannon".
Khoza has been outspoken about calls for President Jacob Zuma to step down and has made public how she will be voting during the motion of no confidence scheduled for 8 August.
ANC KZN spokesperson Mdumiseni Ntuli says it was discussed at the ANC National Policy Conference.
There was a robust discussion about the challenges facing the ANC and the future of the country.— Mdumiseni Ntuli, ANC KZN spokesperson
There was the very firm view that we must not allow - that we must actually be intolerant - of any conduct of any leaders, including those who are public representatives, who are attacking the ANC and ANC leadership in public.— Mdumiseni Ntuli, ANC KZN spokesperson
If we are to introduce a paradigm shift in terms of how the ANC is viewed by society, it begins with the conduct of the leadership and those who are deployed cadres of the ANC, and how they conduct themselves.— Mdumiseni Ntuli, ANC KZN spokesperson
