The race to win Tour de France has just gotten a lot tighter

The Tour de France is precariously poised with just a few days to go to reach Paris. The yellow jersey remains on the shoulders of Chris Froome, British professional road racing cyclist.

Morena Mothupi, EWN sports anchor and reporter says this is one of the tightest races in recent history. Mothupi says Froome has it in him to emerge victorious in the race.

He's got what is necessary, especially when they are in the Alps.

German cyclist, Marcel Kittel crashed out of the race on Wednesday.

He was sitting with five stage wins already. He was pretty good, dominated all the sprint competitions and to see him crash out 20 kilometres into the race, I understand how devastated he was.

Mothupi says we can expect better results from Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka in the next year.
