US-Iran relations have gone south since Trump presidency - analyst

Iran warned the US to 'disassemble military bases within 1000 km'.

It appears this warning was issued in response to new US sanctions imposed over Iran's ballistic missile programme.

Analyst Na'eem Jeenah says relations between the US and Iran have been on a downward spiral since President Donald Trump took office.

The relationship has been going downhill from the time that Trump became President.

The Trump administration declared that Iran is complying with the nuclear deal, but threatened more sanctions for breaching the "spirit" of the agreement.

According to Jeenah, President Trump has pushed for additional sanctions because he has been unable to pull out of the nuclear deal.
