[LISTEN] Ndileka Mandela angered and disappointed by Vejay Ramlakan book

Publication of Dr Vejay Ramkalan's book,Mandela's Last Year's, was stopped by publishers Penguin last week after legal threats from Graca Machel. Other members of the family including Mandla Mandela have criticised the doctor for revealing intimate details of Nelson Mandela's ailing health before he died.

Eldest granddaughter of former President Mandela has also expressed her disappointment at the level of medical details revealed in the book.

To me personally, there is deep disappointment and hurt. I learnt about the book on 18 July from a family member. As a medical practitioner myself, this is a breach of doctor/patient confidentiality.
