State wants evidence struck off in dagga couple case

The High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday was expected to hear whether a case brought by the so-called dagga couple should be live streamed.

Julian Stobbs and Myrtle Clarke argued for the legalisation of cannabis for adults, along with regulation for use and cultivation.

Alex Mitchley, News24 Reporter says the state brought an application to strike certain evidence from the proceeding as they believe is it irrelevant and compiled incorrectly.

The defence for the dagga couple said it was clear the state wanted all evidence struck.
