Future SA urges MPs to vote against Zuma to restore public trust

Future South Africa, a coalition of civil society groups, has urged Members of Parliament (MPs) to vote against President Jacob Zuma in the motion of no confidence.

The motion will be heard in Parliament next Tuesday.

Patrons Future SA, which was launched on Monday, say the organisation has been formed to tackle state capture and rebuild state integrity.

Future SA organiser Neeshan Bolton says state capture and corruption has eroded public confidence.

We are urging MPs to vote in support of the motion of no confidence, primarily to give hope and confidence to this country so that we can reverse the damage that has been done in the last decade.

Neeshan Bolton, Executive Director of the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation and Future SA organiser

We need confidence-building. We need Parliamentarians to restore hope in our democracy.
