Altitude could be a factor for the Crusaders in Super Rugby final against Lions

It is expected to be a huge game when the Lions host the Crusaders on Saturday at Ellispark Stadium in the Super Rugby final.

All the tickets for the game are sold out.

Former Springbok fly-half, Joel Stransky says the Crusaders cannot in any way escape the effects of the altitude.

The Crusaders will be travelling 13 194kms and about 16 hours from Christchurch to get to South Africa for the game.

According to reports, no team has won the Super Rugby title when travelling across the Indian Ocean for a final.

The Crusaders might have looked at that and have adjusted the way they play just to be a little bit energy efficient but there is no doubt, they cannot escape the effects of altitude and it will be a factor.

Joel Stransky, Former Springbok Fly-half

I am predicting the Lions to win it and altitude is a bit in their favour.
