The bra guru

Angelina Jolie says that she didn't know her bra size until she shot a movie.

A lot of women walk around wearing the incorrect bra size says Taryn Palacios, Managing Director and owner of a bra fitting studio, called The Bra Guru.

Palacios explains that it is an epidemic that so many women wear the wrong size and are unaware of the benefits of finding the perfect fit and size. She says a bra shouldn't be something that is uncomfortable.

This career chose me says Palacios.

She goes on to say she was fortunate enough to have worn the correct bra sizes from an early age. Palacios admits that it does take some to find the perfect bra fit adding that different styles will fit differently.

Palacios says her studio is big enough to accommodate you and a friend adding that during a fitting, she assists clients with their measurements and goes as far as helping with styling to complement the bra style.

At the end of the day, a bra is an item of clothing and its true function is to make you look better in your outerwear says Palacios.

The back part of your bra is called the wing and its what does all the work, that's what holds your breasts up. Ninety percent of the work is that band around your back.

The function of the strap is told up the front panel explains Palacios. She suggests fastening the bra from the back is probably best.

She also adds that bra sizes can range from a double 'a' cup to 'k'.
