He is expected to appear in court on Thursday.

I have heard a lot of hogwash about this Mduduzi Manana story, he is like everybody else, he cannot be guilty until the magistrate says so.

Zakele, 702 caller

This is preliminary, he admitted, it doesn't matter.... if you go to the police station and open a case, it depends on many things - your victim, is there proof, can you see marks, they look at that... video's don't work in court.

Zakele, 702 caller

This caller says while he does not agree with what Manana did, an alleged video recording of the incident circulated on social media proves very little.

The mitigating factors have to happen in the court of law, Manana in his apology said he slapped her therefore he is not denying it, he can however come to court and say I slapped her but my guy is the one who had beaten her....we cannot see clearly in the video.

Mpho, 702 caller

I am not saying what he did is right, we need to talk about the system which is failing, they should be able to exercise the law.
