Ocean Basket gives franchise owner the chop after assault video

Ocean Basket has parted ways with a former franchise owner who was caught on video assaulting an employee.

The man in question was immediately divested of his shares and is no longer part of the group, explains Ocean Basket CEO Grace Harding.

According to Harding, the man's actions were in breach of contract.

She says that a new manageress has been appointed at the restaurant's Lakefield franchise.

He is no longer the owner. Before the end of the week, there will be a new contract signed with a new owner.
