Domino effect: Blue light brigade cars crash into each other on M1

Johannesburg motorists had to endure an extra hour in traffic on Thursday morning.

This follows a crash on the M1 highway near Marlboro in northern parts of the city.

The collision, involving blue light brigade members, caused very heavy delays all the way to the Brakfontein interchange in the capital.

The cars were on their way to pick up an official when the crash occurred.

One guard was injured in the incident.
