Good sugar vs bad sugar

What's all the fuss about carb in fruit? Triathlete's in particular seem to be fruit carb counters, but is this a misplaced sugar reduction strategy?

David Katz also known as Mr. Active says with the increasing popularity of banting and low carb diets, fruits has been getting a lot of flack, which he says is unwarranted.

There are huge added benefits to fruit, you're getting water, vitamins, minerals and fibre.

Why would you want to be cutting these out asks Mr Active. He adds that we shouldn't be cutting out fruit from our diet because they are whole and provide natural sugar.

Mr. Active recommends berries if you are adamant on reducing your sugar intake especially for younger children. Natural fruit does taste better than these artificial sweeteners says Mr. Active.

Like anything in life, don't over do it.
