After 12 years of South Africa’s viewers enjoying the popular show 3 Talk with Noeleen, the SABC has finally announced its successor.
The new show, Afternoon Express, which is set to premiere on the 4 May at 4.00pm on SABC 3 will be hosted by Bonang Matheba, Bonnie Mbulie and Jeannie D. The trio are not new to South African television. Matheba and Jeannie D are presenters on the upmarket lifestyle show Top Billing, also broadcasted on SABC 3.
The show will engage viewers in topics ranging from cooking, to fashion and finance and will have real-time audience interaction via social media. It is said to have more of a youthful swing to it.
Messages from fans poured in to congratulate the three on this new undertaking.
Can't wait to see what @bonang_m is wearing, from Monday to Friday. Dear Jesus: thank you! #AfternoonExpress
