Netherlands concert cancelled due to terrorist threat

US rock band Allah-Las's concert in Rotterdam, Netherlands was cancelled last night, after a van containing gas bottles was found near the venue.

Journalist Adam Gilchrist says that the threat may be linked to the recent terrorist attack in Spain. The van was a Spanish registered vehicle, with a Spanish driver who is now being questioned by authorities, according to Gilchrist.

Given the kind of warnings that came out of Barcelona - that the Barcelona and Cambrils would not be one offs, that there would be, quote, a wave across Europe - this may be part of that wave of terror.

Gilchrist says the name of the band that was targeted is also controversial as it has "Allah" in it. He adds that there have been messages stating that using Allah in their name is offensive.

In other news, two rival gangs in Birmingham have been hit with an injunction. Gilchrist says this is thought to be the largest ever gang injunction in the UK.

Eighteen members of the Burger Bar Boys and Johnson Crew are banned from going to certain areas in Birmingham and must register their cars and mobile phones.

The really unusual thing is they have been banned from making music videos. Apparently, these gangs have been using rap music and rap videos to goad each other.
