WATCH: Killer Cameron Wilson appears 'unfazed' by hefty sentences

Convicted killer Cameron Wilson has been sentenced to four life terms and 71 years behind bars.

His sentences, which will run concurrently, were handed down in the Western Cape High Court on Thursday, reports EWN's Shamiela Fisher.

Wilson committed five murders, as well as several attempted murders and rapes in Philippi and Valhalla Park between 2014 and 2016.

He was arrested in September for stabbing to death 18-year-old Lekita Moore.

The 20-year-old smiled and rolled his eyes when he heard his sentences, Fisher confirms.

He was also seen applauding and laughing in response to the cheers and chants made by the public gallery.

He rolled his eyes, he smiled and when everything was said and done he was escorted back down to the holding cells.

It's alleged that Wilson joined the 28s gang in December 2015, when he was incarcerated for several crimes.

According to reports, his father is also member of the notorious group.

The family members of Wilson's many victims were present in court and shared their reaction to the sentencing.

Wilson legal representative says he will be taking further instructions from his clients on whether or not they will appeal the sentences.

It's unclear whether he will remain at Pollsmoor Prison or be moved to another facility at this stage.
