The boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor divided fans of the sport, with some arguing it's only about the money.
Sunday morning’s match ended up, as largely predicted, with a Mayweather win.
But not everyone is buying into the criticism, with boxing correspondent Peter Leopeng saying it was great for both sport.
I think this fight was good for boxing but also for MMA (Mixed martial arts). It brought the two sporting codes together and it was great.— Peter Leopeng, boxing correspondent
Leopeng says he was skeptical in the very beginning.
I enjoyed it (the match) but I was very skeptical. I thought McGregor was going to get knocked out… but he surprised me.— Peter Leopeng, boxing correspondent
I predicted the fight wouldn’t go past the sixth round, so I was out by four rounds.— Peter Leopeng, boxing correspondent
He (McGregor) was very exhausted and I think being an MMA fighter, after around 25 minutes, he was tired. Mayweather knew if he could take him past the sixth or seventh round, then he should be showing some signs of fatigue and that’s what happened.— Peter Leopeng, boxing correspondent
For someone who started out as a boxer (for the first time), he shocked everybody.— Peter Leopeng, boxing correspondent
