Mom uses son's death to raise organ donation awareness

Most people know what it feels like to lose someone you love, with deep feelings of loss and hopelessness being some of the emotions felt.

Janine Magree is someone who experienced this after her 17-year-old son collapsed following a ruptured aneurysm.

She now wants to use her son's death to instill hope in others, particularly those in need of organ donation.

The mother says she didn't expect the sudden loss of her son because he was an avid gymgoer and was an active sportsman.

He went to the gym and we suddenly got a phone call from his brother who said he had collapsed and then a little while later, we received another phone call to say that he was dead.

Magree says by the time she arrived at the hospital, she had spoken with someone who suspected it was an aneurysm.

After his death, Magree says she couldn't let his organs go to waste.

I can't just let his organs go to waste when i know that so many people can benefit from his organs. As many as seven people can benefit.
