Demand to wear skinny pants puts classes on hold in Pretoria school

Pupils at Hoerskool Pretoria West boycotted classes and are demanding to be allowed to wear skinny pants.

However, Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi says pupils have not followed the right procedure since they started protesting on Friday, which should have entailed lodging a formal complaint with the School Governing Body

Azania Mosaka, 702 host says if school uniforms are to be amended they need to afford girls more and also cater to gender neutral pupils.

There are no school uniforms in Argentina. Every school pupil had to wear a white lab coat to school and the coat had to be buttoned from top to bottom and it cost parents very little.

My sister goes to that school. The headline is misleading, they want skinny pants and not skinny jeans even though I'm not in agreement with them.

Some young ladies have Beyonce bottoms...with tight pants it would look ugly. Kids must get on with schooling and forget about looking the part and forget the labels.
