Manyi held a press briefing showing journalists documentation proving that he is the sole owner of the news agency.

Eyewitness News reporter Gia Nicolaides was there.

Mr Manyi actually showed us the shareholder register which shows that he is the sole owner of Lodidox, a company that took over ANN 7 and the new age newspaper and ultimately rubbishing claims that he is fronting for the Guptas.

Gia Nicolaides, EWN reporter

He definitely wants to expand those media houses not just across South Africa but across Africa. He also said that this is the dawn of a new age in media because what he is doing today, showing us the shareholder register and bunch of other documents, is really showing that he is transparent accurate and truthful., and that is how he wants to run these two news houses.
