The price of petrol will probably increase by 61 cents per litre on Wednesday, predicts the Automobile Association (AA).
It expects the diesel price to climb by 46 cents per litre while the price of illumination paraffin may jump 50 cents per litre.
The Department of Energy is yet to announce the final price adjustment (based on data up to 31 August).
The price increase is mainly due to the increase in oil prices with only four cents per litre attributed to rand weakness.
