Online shopping may be shifting traditional mall culture

There have been distinct changes to the retail landscape over the years.

While people are shopping differently, with online shopping becoming more attractive, the number of customers at shopping centres have in fact been in steady decline.

Retail director, Stephan Le Roux affirms what he believes is a partial change and says it is due to a shift in consumer behavior.

When you look at shopping centers it may be bricks and mortar but it really is about people, its about shoppers, retailers and how they interact with each other.

As we have generations move from one to another, the needs of those generations also change. It has been dictated really by the change in consumer behavior.
