Ramaphosa allegations a political smear campaign, says Deputy Health Minister

Deputy Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla has slammed those behind infidelity allegations facing Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The Sunday Independent reports that Ramaphosa has had a number of affairs and has copies of Ramaphosa’s emails to back this up.

Ramaphosa was unsuccessful on Saturday night in his attempt to stop the Sunday Independent from publishing its article.

Phaahla says the so-called smear campaign will not succeed in tarnishing Ramaphosa's reputation.

It's an allegation that targets one person but has the potential to hurt a whole lot of people.

This is an attempt by very desperate people who cannot compete on the political issues on what is wrong in the movement and the country.
