I have never met Cyril Ramaphosa in my entire life - Nonhlanhla Radebe

The Sunday Independent alleged that Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has used his wealth to prey on several women.

The paper reports that it is in possession of three email addresses in which Ramaphosa used, all under pseudonyms, to communicate with about eight women with whom he allegedly cheated on his wife and was supporting financially.

Nonhlanhla Radebe, who is alleged to be one of the women having an affair with Ramaphosa, says she was never contacted by the Sunday Independent for comment.

She says the news was a big shock to her as she has never met the deputy president in her life.

I have never met him and he doesn't know me either. I honestly do not know him... we are both ANC members and that's about it.

The people who made this poster needs to be found. Unfortunately, I do not have the resources to pursue with the investigations and sue them... this is defamation of character.

ANC Chief Whip, Jackson Mthembu, says the timing of the 'so-called revelation' by the Sunday Independent shows there is some kind of a political agenda. He says the nomination process will be starting now in September which is why dirty tricks are beginning.

Mthembu, in one of the Tweets, said he will continue showing support to Ramaphosa.

If we wanted somebody who looks like a pope, we would have gone into the Vatican - but we are electing somebody who comes from amongst us with the weaknesses that are incumbent in human beings.

Jackson Mthembu, ANC Chief Whip

This is a political agenda stopping Cyril Ramaphosa from being nominated President of the ANC, probably even president of the country.

Jackson Mthembu, ANC Chief Whip

I want to state that we are not here to defend any infidelity or wrong doing by anybody ... but the intention of dragging Cyril's name through the mud when the ANC branches are supposed to make nominations is quite clear.

Right2Know Campaign Organiser, Murray Hunter, says it is concerning that state resources are used in factional battles within the ANC.

He says it is clear this an intelligence work.

Battling factions within the ANC have embedded themselves in the intelligence cluster and used those resources to advantage one faction or try to take down another faction.

Murray Hunter, National Coordinator of the Right 2 Know

Hunter recommends a full on investigation that will prevent the abuse of state resources by politicians who wants to discredit each other.
