On Saturday, Tshwane mayor, Solly Msimanga reportedly said he is concerned that far too many women are being arrested for drunken driving. The mayor partook in a roadblock in the city.

Msimanga goes on to say it is crucial that drivers restrict themselves from drinking and then driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Msimanga says he unfortunately has no control over being misinterpreted by media reports over his remarks but insists he was in no way sexist.
