These gogos can throw a mean punch

Former bodybuilder and lifestyle coach Claude Maphosa wanted to give back to his community. He thought what better way than to help empower the elderly, with boxing training.

Maphosa owns a gym, called 'The A–Team Lifestyle Gym' located in Cosmo City, Johannesburg. He says the gym and boxing classes are meant to help senior citizens with health and stress related issues.

He says while growing up, he always loved sports, and when he reached his teens he was introduced to body building. Maphosa explains that because townships didn't have gyms he used halls to begin his fitness classes.

Maphosa tells 702 anchor, Azania Mosaka that his gym and boxing classes are dominated by more women than men.

When I opened the gym, it was the pensioners who approached me to help them with their fitness.
