KZN ANC chair vows to put pressure on authorities over Sindiso Magaqa probe

ANC KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) chairperson Sihle Zikalala has promised to pressure on authorities to investigate the death of Sindiso Magaqa.

Magaqa was a former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) secretary-general.

He was shot two months ago in Umzimkhulu in KZN along with two other ANC councillors.

Magaqa died of his wounds in hospital on Monday night.

The provincial ANC chair and ANC presidential hopeful Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma visited Magaqa's home for a prayer service, reports EWN's Ziyanda Ngcobo.

Zikalala was saying that this is becoming an embarassment, not only for the ANC but for the country,

They said the death of Magaqa should serve as a lesson for the party and South Africa as a whole.

Magaqa's death comes amid an investigation into political killings in KZN, in which he was a key witness.
