"ANC is finding it difficult to sleep since we took over from them in the City"

The African National Congress (ANC) in Johannesburg has filed a motion of no confidence against Johannesburg Executive Mayor, Herman Mashaba and the city's Speaker Vasco da Gama.

The party claims Mashaba and the Democratic Alliance (DA) have failed in their duties to deliver better services for city residents.

Jolidee Matongo, spokesperson for ANC in Johannesburg says the city's finances are on the brink of collapse since the DA took over. He says it is therefore in the best interests of the city's residents that Mashaba is removed.

The ANC is finding it difficult to sleep ever since we took over from them in the city.

Mashaba says over R14 billion has been uncovered in state looting of the city of Johannesburg's resources.

Two years ago, the ANC decided for some unknown reason to spend R1.3 billion of public funds to purchase this MTC.
