SADC ministerial fact finding mission heads to politically tense Lesotho

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) ministerial fact finding mission is expected to arrive in Lesotho on Thursday to deal with renewed political tensions.

This follows the fatal shooting of Lesotho's army chief Khoantle Motsomotso on Tuesday in an apparent assassination set to revive instability in the mountain kingdom.

Lesotho Times journalist and political desk editor, Marasaele Mohloboli says there was heavy army and police presence on Wednesday but the same can't be said for Thursday. She says things are back to normal.

There is one high ranking officer who has already been detained in connection with Tuesday's assassination.
