Zuma officially opens InvestSA One Stop Shop Western Cape

The second InvestSA One Stop Shop was opened in the Western Cape today. The centre will provide strategic guidance and reduce red tape for all those looking to invest in the province.

Wesgro CEO Tim Harris says this project is a collaboration between the Department of Trade (DTI) and Industry, Wesgro and twelve other government agencies across local, provincial and national government.

He says the launch of the InvestSA One Stop Shop was put together by DTI and the President.

There was a good spirit of representation across government.

Tim Harris, Wesgro CEO

Joining the President at the launch was the mayor, Minister Winde, the acting premier, the deputy minister of trade Industry and all the partners involved in the project.

While some people question why the President was their given all the controversy and speculation of corruption surrounding him, Harris says it is important to look at the bigger picture.

I think your listeners might be thinking that government is driven by politics, therefore dysfunctional. What we showed today is that there is still a great deal of collaboration across the three sphere of government to make this country more business friendly.

Tim Harris, Wesgro CEO

Investment in the province and country is vital, especially if we want our economy to improve. The InvestSA One Stop Shop will hopefully aid this.
