KZN's ANC provincial elective conference ruled unlawful

The High Court in Pietermaritzburg has ruled that the outcome of the 2015 KwaZulu-Natal ANC provincial elective conference was unlawful.

Judge Jerome Mnguni handed down judgment earlier on Tuesday.

The provincial executive committee has been disbanded.

An aggrieved faction disputed the outcome of the elective conference, leading to the removal of KZN Premier Senzo Mnchunu from his position as chairperson.

Eyewitness News reporter, Ziyanda Ngcobo has more on this development.

Hundreds of supporters were singing songs in support of Mchunu, so today is really a victory for the Senzo Mchunu faction.
