Sim Tshabalala is now Standard Bank’s sole CEO, following the completion of a succession process.

The bank announced on Tuesday that former co-CEO Ben Kruger has resigned with immediate effect.

He will remain as a member of the executive board and will report to Tshabalala.

Standard Bank's turnaround strategy necessitated the need to appoint two CEOs in 2013.
