Police treat London explosion as terrorist attack

An explosion at the Parsons Green underground tube station in west London on Friday has left at least 18 people injured.

EWN London Correspondent, Alex Eliseev tells Midday Report stand in host, Ray White that at approximately 08:20am there was an explosion in one of the carriages on that district line.

At first it seemed like an explosion, followed by reports that it was some kind of a fire.

Most recently, the police have come out and said they are treating this as a terrorist attack.

Now we are hearing there are at least 18 seriously injuries.

Eliseev says like other similar incidents, the police and emergency services were quick to react and arrive at the scene of the explosion. Eliseev goes on to report that the London Mayor, Sadiq Khan as well as Theresa May, British Prime Minister have already extended their best wishes to those injured.
