KPMG will come to the fight if Sars picks it - journalist

Speaking at a media briefing on Monday, South African Revenue Service (Sars) boss Tom Moyane says that his organisation will be instituting legal proceedings against KPMG for reputational damage.

Last week KPMG firm withdrew all its findings and recommendations around its report into the so-called Sars spy unit.

Pauli van Wyk, journalist at Daily Maverick's investigative unit, Scorpio spoke to John Maytham about the Sars and KPMG debacle.

Mr. Monyane should be careful with who he picks a fight.

KPMG has a lot of jobs, their international brand and reputation to salvage. They will not let Sars tell them what to do and will definitely come to the fight if Sars picks it.
