Caregivers must protect the vulnerable: specialist responds to child abuse video

A child protection specialist has warned that families should think carefully before acquiring the services of unqualified and uncompassionate caregivers.

This comes after the latest video footage showing a child caretaker violently attacking a child on a school bus.

The child, who is believed to be suffering from a mental illness, is then kicked off the bus and it remains unclear if the bus returns to fetch her.

However, many caregivers enter the profession for income and in desperation for employment.
