After experiencing the therapeutic impact of poetry, Kabelo Mokoena was determined to share this experience with others.
Mokoena, a poet, teacher and multimedia designer, co-founded Sisonke, a non-profit which uses art to impart life skills to school going youths.
Speaking to Gugs Mhlungu on #NightTalk, Mokoena says that he was introduced to poetry when he reflected on his absent father as a child.
He is of the view that art should be prioritized as a need in South African communities.
