BLSA commends workers for taking stand against state capture

Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) says it supports a planned nationwide strike by the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) against state capture on Wednesday.

BLSA spokesperson Themba Maseko says workers are showing leadership by organising the protest, despite the disruption to the economy.

The more we see South Africans taking to the streets and standing up against state capture and corruption, the better we will be as a nation.

Themba Maseko, Director of Communications at Business Leadership South Africa.

Maseko says state capture and corruption undermine South Africa's democracy and the nation's ability to address poverty, unemployment and inequality.
