Will the real Redi Tlhabi please stand up

Author, journalist and former 702 host, Redi Tlhabi had her Twitter account hacked this past weekend.

According to Twitter users, username @starboyrecordz is said to have been responsible for hijacking Tlhabi's account.

"Let’s tweet. Twitter tell them to give me a verified account," the account tweeted on Saturday afternoon.

Some Twitter users have speculated that the hacking was related to the release of her book; Khwezi: the remarkable story of Fezekile Ntsukela Kuzwayo

Several attempts have been made to reach out to Twitter to assist Tlhabi in getting her account back. Her former colleague and tech guru, Aki Anastasiou shared this response from Twitter on his timeline.

A few other chancers have since cropped up, creating fake account under Tlhabi's name.

On Tuesday, twitter user @Leighratoh shared a video from Tlhabi who confirmed that she still did not have her twitter account and warned her followers to be weary of the impostors.
