'Root cause of state capture is Eskom and Transet where enablers sit' Mohale

Business Leadership SA CEO Bonang Mohale has confirmed that it has suspended Eskom and Transnet.

Mohale labelled Jacob Zuma a 'thief' at a launch event on Thursday stating that the accountability of government has been captured.

According to Mohale, this is a plan to renew the organisation and root out corruption.

He spoke to The Midday Report.

We launched a new strategy and a contract with South Africans, an anti-corruption oath.

Bonang Mohale, CEO of Business Leadership South Africa

To honor that, the first action we took was own member KPMG as a logical choice. The root cause of state capture is actually in Eskom and Transnet where the sponsors and enablers are sitting.

Mohale says he believes that charity begins at home and once they have cleaned their own house as a business, government will follow suit.

For us as business, we are saying once we have cleaned our own house, government needs to act. The more the ANC protects President Zuma, the more the ANC looses the battle to regain trust with the active citizenry.
