Messages of support stream in for Xolani Gwala, confirms he has colon cancer

Talk Radio 702's Xolani Gwala has been diagnosed with colon cancer.

The talk show host confirmed the news in an interview with Stephen Grootes on Friday morning.

After thorough investigations they found that I have colon cancer which is advanced.

So far they have done the first operation to take out the tumor but obviously there is still quite a lot that still needs to happen. As early as next week I am starting chemo-therapy.

He says he is ready for the fight.

It is going to be a very long fight partly because it was advanced, a difficult fight but a fight I am ready for.

He says he has received support from his family, colleagues and friends which has kept him going.

Messages of support have since streamed in.

I want to tell the world what a fabulous father you are, a great friend you are, my friend, fight. We are fighting with you and we love you and Peggy Sue and the girls.
