Talk Radio 702's Xolani Gwala has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
The talk show host confirmed the news in an interview with Stephen Grootes on Friday morning.

So far they have done the first operation to take out the tumor but obviously there is still quite a lot that still needs to happen. As early as next week I am starting chemo-therapy.— Xolani Gwala, 702 Breakfast Show anchor
He says he is ready for the fight.

He says he has received support from his family, colleagues and friends which has kept him going.
Messages of support have since streamed in.
