Carl Pistorius: Family seeking legal opinion on interdicting film release

The Pistorius family says it is consulting with legal experts over whether they are able to interdict the release of the Oscar Pistorius movie.

US-based Lifetime Films released the trailer for their upcoming film about the murder of Steenkamp at the hands of the former Olympian.

Carl Pistorius, brother of Oscar Pistorius, says the movie trailer suggests that there could be grounds for a defamation suit.

The family representative says the production of the film is disturbing for both families involved and denies any prior knowledge of the production.

He says the trailer shows that the film is not a fair portrayal of the tragic events that took place.

The family believes that the court records show the most accurate version of events, Pistorius argues.

He says the title of the film is a distortion of the findings of the court.
