The team at Ask Afrika, South Africa’s largest independent market research company has unveiled the most popular brands across the entire South African landscape for 2017/2018.
Maria Petousis, TGI Director (Target Group Index Southern Africa) says they've been doing this research for a couple of years now and surveys over 15 000 nationally represented South African consumers.
What we found this year is that loyalty levels are dropping so consumers are less loyal to brands now. Consumers have migrated beyond functional attributes.— Maria Petousis, TGI Director (Target Group Index Southern Africa)
The Ask Afrika Icon Brands™ 2017/2018 are: Kiwi Shoe Polish, Coca Cola, Sunlight Dishwashing Liquid, Maggie Two Minute Noodles, KOO Fruit Cocktail, KOO Baked Beans, Clover, McCain, I&J and Huletts.
Kiwi shoe polish came up tops and was the overall winner followed by Coca-Cola and Sunlight Dishwashing Liquid says Petousis.
