In early September, Parliament recommended 12 people to serve in the new SABC Board.
These names were then sent to President Jacob Zuma for the new SABC Board to be appointed.
But a month later, the new Board still has not been appointed, resulting in speculation.
The Presidency says that it is concerned about "rumours and gossip" being reported about the SABC Board appointments.
It says that due process is being followed in the appointment of the new board.
Spokesperson for the Presidency Dr Bongani Ngqulunga says there is no delay now that the president has all the necessary information.
We cannot assume that because one arm of the state has done its process therefore we should assume that all necessary checks have been done.— Dr Bongani Ngqulunga, spokesperson

Ngqulunga says the appointments will be announced soon.
